My Sim Addiction (Game review)

Everyone must of heard of the famous game series called The Sims.

The Sims is one of the most genius games ever created. The game is based around being responsible for controlling and maintaining the life of a Sim (A computerized version of a person). The game is so tweaked to be just as close to a real humans life as possible.

You are in charge of taking care of their needs, such as the need to socialize , eat , work , sleep , get jobs , take care of personal hygiene and of course enjoy their lives having fun! First of all you have to build a home for your Sims and it is believable how in depth this part can be and how much fun it is if you have a wild creative imagination but it all depends If you have to funds required to build your dream house of course. It is very possible to build a exact replica of your real house , the game provides hundreds of item varieties from wallpaper to tiles to furniture to trees to plants, basically everything you would see in your home its in there.

To maintain a decent lifestyle your Sims will need to get a job which could range from almost any field from being Chefs to teacher to Scientist to Doctors. Where each job has different pays and requirements to reach the next level of promotion. You start off at the bottom of the promotional ladder and you work your way up by sending your Sims into the books to study requirements given while at the same time your taking care of their needs. Friends also play an important role in the game especially promotion wise as a certain amount of friends is needed to get the promotion in some fields

Many people have become addicted to this game and those who never played a simulation game before will definitional fall in love with the Sims Franchise. After all , who can resist a game that allows you do anything you want !

I am SO loving the game so far exploring all the new features especially that I gotten some of the expansion packs such as "Open for Business ". My favorite part of the game is building houses and recently been trying to create a replica of my real home but it taking some time. Here is how far I gotten.

I have the graphics turned down why the game graphics look so blunt but if you have a high def computer the game really comes alive with realistic reflection shadows etc. I'm not done yet and just noticed some faults so far like the dinning table was placed to far from the living room and the coffee table is placed to much on the left but in all I say its going well.

But this is nothing compared to some of the designers out there who make massive impressive houses such like this XD

Random entry , So thought I'd do an Album review of a band I randomly stumbled across last night called Sound The Alarm.

Got my hands on their 2007 Album STAY INSIDE . When I first saw the album cover, it didn't feel to appealing seeing a girl trapped inside a super size jar but I always remembered the saying don't judge a book by its cover, so I went ahead and decided to listen to it. I was expecting a loud depressing screamo type band but it turns out they are an Alternative Rock Genre and that happens to be my favorite genre :) .

Not alot of heavy guitars , meaningful lyrics and none repetitive tracks. Definitely recommend this album for those who want to sit back and relax to a great album.

After Last exam went to relax at the beach with a friend <3

It is finally here along with the checkpoint of being a final year student. Now I have 4 months to do what I want, when I want. My choice to decide if to use it in a productive manner, or a well not so productive manner lol. A bit of both wouldn't hurt I suppose ;)

Coming home from UWI I noticed a very rare type of cloud formation above me :O Well unless there was bad weather approaching the following day. Adding the thunder which occurred around midnight from a Cumulo-Nimbus cloud I kind of expected the next morning to be all crappy ...and looky today is completely overcast with continuous showers in the morning . Hah my sort of first accurate prediction came through. ^_^

Anyway , the Alto Cumulus clouds gave way to a neat evening sky so I quickly rushed out the car and got a snap of it ^_^ . ( Stupid Power Lines! :@ )

So what is a Magibon? o.O Well I'm not sure myself but upon my usual random browsing on Youtube came across this channel Magibon, and its created by a girl who goes by the name MRirian.

The thing that so funny about her channel is not that fact that almost all her videos are have over 1million views, some even over 3million. Nor its the fact there only 30-50 seconds long.

But its the fact all she does is just stare into the camera for half a minute without talking, except for the few occasions where she says 2 or 3 Japanese words or takes a bite from a giant Pizza then continues staring lol. Her Channel is the most random thing I have ever watched ._. How is she able conjurer up millions of views and 80 thousand subscribers o.O

Tan Dun Pulls It Off!

Few months ago i've talked about the Youtube Symphony Orchestra where the the composer of the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon decided to create the first collaborative online band. Where youtubers from all around the world were given a chance to play a given sheet of music and record themselves playing it then upload it to Youtube. The top videos were then selected and placed in one giant compilation and create the worlds first Online Orchestra.

It turned out perfect ! Countries From Korea to Austria to Russia , at least every country in the world took part in this. It really hit me how much classical music is diversified around the world from playing to blowing to fingering techniques, Yet when placed together something beautiful comes out. I've been really anxious to see how things would of turned out. Music really is a universal language ...

2 Days ago the winners were given a ticket to New York to preform their pieces the first time together. I WISHED so much to go to it :(( Why do i live on a stupid rock .

Hitting into the Astrology part of Classical Mechanics so were dealing with a little bastard called Kepler. He mainly focused his life in the study of astrology and came up with 3 laws about planetary movement. Even though the Egyptians discovered all this already. They were able to determine the radius of the earth with no modern technology but oh well. Anyway , the 2nd law is driving me nuts :@ ! Have at least balled up 6 pieces of paper and no luck yet. Brrr ... im having cold sweats about this exam.

Always wished I could of been born in the earlier days where all the easy discoveries. Come on .. two people one with a underwater bell and the other was a few Km away with an listening device and they discovered the speed of sound under water and got a noble prize for it . They took all the easy ones!

And feel uber lame have not gotten time to update my Blog. Oh well , Life been lame sort of..

Tyler Perry who stared in Madea goes to Jail turned out to be one of the funniest movies I have seen in a good while. Been spending my last few Fridays night with a friend watching random movies and she was like Danny get this movie this time XD . I soo need to watch the first Madea movie now !

World Meteorology Day 09 !

The World Meteorology Organization ( WMO ) which consists of 188 Institutions across the globe celebrate every 23rd of March of the announcement of becoming a Specialized Agency of the United Nations in 1951. Each year they come up with some "green" theme for the year and this years theme is “Weather, Climate and the Air we breathe”. I like it!

Lucky for me one of the 188 Institutes were located in Barbados and no other country in the Caribbean. Although, I wasn't able to make it to the celebrations this year due to this Blasted Flu >_> . It still felt nice reading up on all the latest articles published by WMO. Last year I did make it to the celebrations at the institute but I was still new to the whole Meteorology family. It was open to the public , Especially Schools and so on.

The Place was packed with lil kiddies running around looking at our stuff, while some of our Professors gave some lectures on certain topics to the more 'intrigued' few. People got to view at the big old Satellite and live weather radars. It was pretty cool last year , wish I could of made this time year around.

I did manage to find their list of things they were planning to do this year.

Finally got my hands on a new Acer Laptop but sadly few minutes after, I learned it was actually a lower end laptop compared to my current Toshiba Lappy. Upset as hell , I promptly returned that piece of crap and got myself a Decent looking HP Pavilion Laptop for about 1000$ more.

( Was so worth it! )

And The System Specs are nothing short of amazing!

Internal Hard drive space of 200 Gigs
A Duel core Processor 1.83 Ghz EACH , Thats 3.66 Ghz Of Processing Speed!
3 Gigs Of Ram !
Intel Family 965 Graphics Chipset

The graphics chip isn't the greatest but that 3 gigs of RAM is definitely the make up for it ! That is going to be some super smooth gaming. It also has one of those Light scribe Burners which I only found out about. It can print an image onto a CD while its burning to give it one of those Real Professional CD Looks :D .

Also, has an high def integrated Webcam and two mics for perfect recording ability. Tested them out earlier in this video below, and I like ^_^ has so many video effect too !

Also came with a remote control which can control all the Media from DVD to Music To Pictures to Recordings. It can even shut the laptop down. Its so perfect for lazy people like me.

But , even though this HP Pavilion is literally 3 time more powerful that my old Toshiba. I REALLY don't want to give up my old one. My uncle in Trinidad is apparently taking it. I had it for so many years and it Never once had a virus or crashed and the entire hardware is in tip top shape except the fan which is being repaired on Monday. :( I don't want to give it up! It is full customized for my use only . From the clock to the Firefox toolbar to the Login Screen >_< *Sigh * It can't be helped I guess. Have to learn to let go of things * Pouts*

So few months back, I've mentioned something about some research labs we carry out every semester as part of our second year program. Well, were now starting the 2nd part of the course this semester, but of course, things don't go well as usual... Gee sound pretty pessimistic here lol. But anyway , My adviser decides to screw me over like usual ( pessimistic! )and puts me to work BY myself. -_- !!

So sitting alone in the Dark Lab ...Alone .. and did I mention in the Dark! Only my little nightlight for reading stuff. But I do get to play with some cool Lasers! :o Hmm just came to mind if I could try to melt stuff with it <_< .. I'll try tomorrow!

Besides that, its pretty lame and I hate being alone. So pass few days I've been pulling friends into the room with me for company ^_^ but the working solo part is still lame :( ..

So how does one build up their Charisma Skills?

Have a few oral presentations to do this semester and I'd like NOT to stutter this time around. Friend suggested to work on your charisma skills but they didn't really specify how... Maybe talking to a mirror? Er <_< .
What makes it worst, is that some things are on topics that i have no History of plus the fact I really don't care to know about.

Lets see what my topic is.

Is the CARICOM ready for Globalization?

Doesn't sound that bad but still don't see how it'll help me with my Degree. But guess its one of those courses that will ... eh "build ones character?" It also doesn't help when your friend decides she wants to build paper boats made of Star bust wrappers that we munched on all during Class. Then decides to "sail" them on your laptop keyboard when your trying to type notes.

Procrastination Is Lame!

I've been meaning to update here in ages! Well, at least every night. Its been on my "to do list" to update my blog after I finish whatever I was currently doing. That has been going on since the 1st, and well its the 18th. Even though it was mainly procrastination , there was some early drama which was going on and it was really mentally exhausting.

Well it's new Semester along with a New year. So sounds like a new start towards most things. So far, not much change has occurred though, just some new problems along with delights. But such is life yeah? Its ups and down , its own merry Snakes and Ladders -_-

Apart from goofing around there is one course I'm personally scared of. Classical Mechanics, this is suppose to be one of the most drilling Science courses at UWI but so far its somewhat understandable... Somewhat o_o . Actually from the 1st lecture I was somewhat lost by time he wrote on the second side of the board ... Grr I can smell those 8am-9pm days of studying coming again this semester >.<

But! what I'm really looking forward too this semester is getting a " Acoustic " band together. Last semester I did manage to find 3 other acoustic players and this semester we decided to get something moving this semester. We already started meeting up on days to mess around and see what talents each of us could bring to the table and now were discussing a song we could try together. Oh how I've missed the good old band atmosphere since school day ^_^ . If you think you have a neat song you could suggest , by all means leave it in a comment. :P

Anyway, this semester surely looks like more joyful fun. Really have to enjoy your college life though, I don't believe you should spend all of it studying and obviously not all of it goofing of. But Balance it out, Learn an instrument , play some sports , read a book. Those things will be your best friend in your college years, trust me there ;) Yes , of course your real friends as well but they'll be studying sometime as well.

Danny's Tuna Casserole!

Ingredients

1) 2 Cream of Mushroom Soup
2) 2 Cans of Tuna ( Duh )
3) 3 Sticks of Cellery
4) 1 Onion
5) Few Table Spoons of Butter
6) Cheese :D
7) Elbow Noodles :o

Set Noodles To Boil :D . Fun way to check when their ready is to take one from out the pot... and...Throw it at the roof :D ! If it sticks , Its awesome!

Just you and your mom won't be o_O ... Yeah :D

Drain Them :)

Now Satay the now chopped celery and onions in 2 Table spoons of Butter for 5 mins.

Pour the Mushroom sauce into the Veggies and cook for 5mins :o

Butter Up Deh Pan :D

**Add Noodles 1st then the Sauce! **

and Mix away!

Top It off with some extra Cheese ...

Put in Oven for 15-20Mins And

When Cows Attack!

So living away from the Towns certainly has its Pros and Cons. Usually the pros is greater than the cons <.< . Its all good except when the cow family decide to have an all you can eat buffet on your expensive palm Trees and decide to dig up your grass. There minding my own business when I randomly hear my mom outside yelling at something.

Curious, I went to see whats up, And it was the most hilarious thing I've seen in sometime. There was my mom arguing with a cow while he careless gnaws on our palm tree. So well , didn't think that was going anywhere so went ahead and closed the gate to prevent the other "6" from entering the yard. In doing so did manage to scare away the one from attacking my palm o_0 .

Poor Palmy :(

In doing so , I soon created another problem. Somehow they decided to look at my Dads new car... I was like OMGGGZZZZ Not the new Impreza!!!!!1!1.
But luckily the neighbors nice cut green grass caught their attention before they started to mop the cars glass with their tongue or something.

Thought it be a Funny picture but got back to late and they left the car by then

Bleh , could have been worst if they actually made it inside the yard but luckily they didnt ^_^.

Yep, So the reason I've taken such a long time to update my Blog was that I had so many distractions lately. Been doing so many constructive activities to better my character such as... Msn Drawings Woo! :D

But I have watched 60 Episodes of Bleach in 3-4 days... and Im Proud Darn it! Its Awesome Anime!

But other than that, there was yard work and just about anything else My parents could think of to throw at me. I mean, if I was just sitting doing nothing and they noticed , they just find anything just to get me to do something. Example, my mom , she had me reverse her car out the driveway for when ever she goes to work tomorrow -_-" ... Tomorrow!
And my dad! Calls me to help him take down Christmas lights , Well yeah I know that sounds like an actual job but I just had to untwist something while he watched... humph. Hah, I sound like a lazy child ^_^" Well, its not that I mind since if they haven't , I'd probably be all day on my computer or on my Guitar.

Yeah almost forgot ! I got a tiny lil Amp for the Guitar ... But It packs a mighty Punch. Ah I love it ^_^ . Still not entirely sure how to work the little thing. There's so many nobs and turny things and words I have no clue what they mean... Er... "Metal Stack"? "Overdrive"? o_0 ! Akghk!

So that's instrument number 5 now >.< . Still waiting to get my Pipa ( Chinese guitar ).

Got a new Quicksilver wallet from a friend which is just awesome :D And a pretty neat shirt from another ... And it has Skulls Woo! =] . Finally got my hands on my long awaited Electric Guitar! But as usual theres always some down side and it was... No Amplifier hence, no sound ^_^ So ill just have to end up staring at it for now... Its so shiny and untouched and all Mineeeeee ;]

So that's about it , spent the new few days at some limes by friends house. So today my mom wanted to go see the newly built boardwalk and decided to go with to give her some company. It was pretty fun , a nice relaxing walk along the beach , and watching restaurants set up for Old Years night. Came to my attention my Fav Greek Restaurants " OPA! " closed down and reopened as " The Black Perl " .. ( Pirates of the Caribbean Much? ) lol.

But going to ask why ... they gave a pretty simple reply . Tourist come from far to have Caribbean style food instead of Greek which they probably have lots of Home. Guess it makes sense and its all business eh? So on the way back ... passing some really baking tourist in the sun... Forgot my Fav Ice cream shop was right there! Few Nags convinced my mom to go lol... Ice Cream :D !! .. Im such a kid lol. But their ice cream is pretty dam good ! Especially their Caramel one <3 Plus I love the smell of the place... all Cofffeee ^_^

Still haven't made any plans for Old Years ,since majority of the decent places were like 200$ Bucks and up ... some was 500$ per person... Dude... What are they serving all night Golden Lobsters? Anyway , another popular choice was The Gap which was ...40$ to get into 5 Clubs . That is very very cheap! So there's only 1 outcome

On the Music topic, yesterday I started to attempt to write a song entitled " Dear Loved One "
Only finished the Intro , Verse 1 and the Chorus. Just having a few brain storm problems, No Problems adding Lyrics ... BIG problem adding music to them.
Started to look for the book " Writing songs For Dummies " LOL and Joined a few groups on Facebook but none really covered the problem I have. Tried talking to 3-4 of my music teachers but Nada... no help :(.

Anyway the song is pretty random when I started writing , Apparently its about.... Yes apparently lol . Its about a guy trying to find his way back into the heart of the girl he loves Because she thought he never took Life that Serious before.

Anyway ^_^ Spilling the paint , I ended up finishing the job halfway and had to go get more to finish... Eh got a Major headache from those oil thinners though! >.<

Yeah , So the next clumsy act. I bought those biscuit mix to make, well biscuits lol. The ones they sell at KFC. Haven't made anything in some while so thought it be a neat idea. But yeah ... Me going to misread the package about 1/2 Cups ... I ended up putting ONE and 1/2 Cups.... So I didn't end up baking biscuits... But rather some form of Soup lol. Thought if i kept them in the oven for an extra 20mins in HOPES they would solidify ...but just ended up burning the things.

Had to wait the next morning to write this blog because got home around close to 5am :)

The day started pretty much slow , had to head to UWI to finish our research *sigh* EVEN though School is over :( .
But after constant nagging I decided to head out tonight with some friends since it was her Birthday!

AND Finally had a chance to wear my Favorite tie :)!

Went by a friends house and got ready , Was a bit weird since I've only seen her 3-4 times in person and I'm there in her house, though It would be somewhat fun though, to have three really beautiful girls there's but , Ah... They spent 20mins trying to explain what a "Clutch" is... Isn't a clutch the thing in a car? ... Apparently its a purse :D ... Im such a guy sigh* lol ... At let me not bring up the art of putting on make up...... Ahh well maybe it was a little bit fun Teehee,

Pre-Vacation Celebrations

Mmm I just want to sleep and hug my pillow! But its been a good while since i've updated my blog :)

Pre-vacation celebrations! Pre because I still have my last exam on Friday and 99.9% of my Friends exams finished today so i joined in the Celebration :D

About todays exam Math Methods in Physical Science...heh... A+ Please? Everyone just walked out feeling just super! Super because our late night, all day studying paid right off , and a nice 15 mark question we did on the board the night before! How lucky is that or what. Guess ill be some of the lucky 6 people who will make it to Final year Physics.

What a journey it has been, can remember prelimary physics had 100 students. By 1st year, that 100 got knocked down to 40. By 2nd semester of 1st year that 40 got chopped down to 18, And 2nd year Physics that 18 is now 9 students.

Oh ! I got two presents today =] . I love my friends lol . So tempted to open them! ... *must resist till the 25th *Mumbles!* *
Felt bad I havn't got them anything, Not the greatest at buying things because not sure if they would like it. Best idea is just take them out for dinner sometime later :) Sounds perfect !
Too bad one will miss it , shes heading India for 5 weeks on Sunday! ... LUCKY HER!

So had a lil R&R and a few beers and just limed since we finished one of our hardest exams. Tried a little pool in the Campus guilde... and Im better than I though :D But I think ill stick to Yahoo pool :)

So today I cried lol.

Not in a emotionally distressed way ... But I had a laugh so much today I had some tears rolling down my cheeks. So my friends and I always walk with our Cam to collect any random moment ... well what we would call "Facebook Moments" which is basically an embarrassing shot of one of us doing something just ridiculously stupid which is mostly me 80% of the time lol.
So living in the Canteen, ( which we been doing since the start of exams time since its close to food =] ) we were on a random break and decided to look though some already taken "Facebook moment" pictures. That is when a friend noticed that he could make a short animation by flipping though 3 pictures back and forth really fast!

Well gee! Guess who the picture was off??

Yeah... lol Apparently they got a shot of me taking a nap on my friends lap. One shot was with my mouth closed and the other was my mouth open... was like =o ... lol.

And there just like flipping back and forth and its like... =| ..=o ..=| .. =o ... Were there laughing our butts off so loudly it attracted a crowd lol. It wasn't even that funny to me! but I found myself laughing with the crowd to a point I felt a headache coming then a point when it turned into tears >.<

Anyway , meanwhile later had to drop off a book to a friend which had me running back and forth around UWI , But on my way i cam across my old old Steel pan conductor, Which I recently learned the Dude was getting married, thats a big shock! since we really saw him as another Friend just teaching us music instead of a "teacher". He was maybe 3 years older or something.

Haha... just to note how young his age could be exaggerated is that one time , He decided to wear gray pants and a white shirt to work one day. Which was our school colors basically. The Principal passed him on the school corridor and almost decided to give him a lil lash for loitering.
since he could of passed for a student with his height and basically overall appearance LOL...

Youtube's Symphony Orchestra & Room Conversion

Tan Dun!

I've always wondered about mixing music tracks of youtube and combining them into a song. Now Youtube has taken the same interest, but on a wide global scale! Lead by the genious conductor Tan Dun.
Tan Dun who wrote the music for famous movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Now the conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra he offered to help Youtube to help them with this massive idea.

Tan Dun , offered amateur and professional musicians around the world to attempt his beautiful peices of music and send them in, where it will then be places all into one track and combined into the 1st ONLINE Orchestra. How Cool is that? ^_^

Right from the Youtube Symphony channel , Tan Dun provided a list of instruments along with their sheet music for any of the youtube musicians out there to take an attempt at it.

Members from the London Symphony Orchestra also posted videos as tutorials for each instruments in order to help the youtubers learn the piece in time. The deadline to upload your videos is late January.

"All video entries will be combined into the first-ever collaborative virtual performance, and people around the world will select their favorites to perform at New York's Carnegie Hall in April 2009"

I've decided to take an attempt , but its been so long since I've played Classical and not to mention my reading music is probably not at its climax. One time I could read music more fluently than English o_0

I'm still not sure which instrument I should start this on. Guitar is out since its not an Orchestra instrument :[! And my Saxophone ... well Saxophones weren't made in the Classical age, But they did said that your still allowed to use one. So that leaves me with my Flute which currently is under repairs >.<

BLA Problems & Twin Paradox

Lousy week , I really back and forth between UWI and home and now the Barbados License Authority. I'm pretty disappointed at how they run things up there. So today I went to collect my Driver license ( The Card itself ) but they brought to my attention that I wasn't allowed to Drive since I'm an American citizen living in Barbados without a Barbadian ID card... ( DUDE ..Wtf? )

Mk... Hold up !

So 7 months ago, You.. The Barbadian License Authority granted me the permission To learn to drive. Doing so which includes paying 40$ every week for the next 6 months. Then on the final month , Have me pay ... 350$ to take your test in which I passed and in which your provided me with this :

Which clearly states that I am hereby Licensed to drive a Motor Vehicle... They even gave me a License number o.O .

So okay , Whats the problem ? They would not give me the final card since No ID card. Came to my attention a new law was passed 2 weeks stating that all Drivers license would require a Barbadian Id card.... Huh why?

Well okay but , wasn't my permit Granted before this law? So it shouldn't apply to me if my knowledge of the law is correct or the lady at the desk just didn't know what she was talking about which (70%) of them is usually true when their faced with something thats not so regular on their daily job.

So I have no problem with me getting my ID card , just why would they grant me the permit to learn when I didnt have the correct material and allowed me to go ahead and spend almost 1,300$ on learning / taking and passing everything just to be said sorry this isnt Valid?

So okay , forget them the main problem was working around this system. Now my Student Visa hasn't come back from the States as yet but I do have a copy since UWI keeps them for forieng students. I was told Visa's was a good substitution for the ID. But the lady insisted ID ID BAJAN ID.... So okay...

1) Friend Dario - New York - Has License from just presenting his Passport and Visa
2) Friend Michelle - New York - Has License from just presenting his Passport and Visa
3) Abbie - INDIA - ( other side of the dam world ) - Lisence Granted on Passport / Visa.
4) Adelle Sister - Delaware USA - Driving / Working - On a Passport / Visa again.
5) Daniel - Orlando Florida USA - Driving granted? NO - presented what? ... Passport / Visa.

Okay dookie , maybe It was time I give the connection I have with the Cheif officer a call. He said he'll sort things out for me , but He can't do much if It is actually a new law ... well Im not sure. Still waiting for the call.

Honestly, Those two sheets of paper say Im License to Drive , It has a printed License number , Signed by an officer , has an expiration date. So , yeah , I'll be driving if needed.

So yeah , Friend called earlier and She explains the steps I would need to take to acquire my ID... sigh* I hate going into town!

Pretty much the highlight of the day , other than falling asleep on my friends lap in the canteen ... When she plays with my hair its really relaxing lol ^_^ . Woke up to find 2 hair band things in my hair -.- .... Lucky the canteen was empty at that time, No dout i't will appear on facebook sometime later >.< ... My hairs getting so long ! Not sure if i'll keep to the growing it out plan. Tomorrow , hopefully some friends will be coming over to study since uwi doesn't really provide a study area during exam time since the class rooms are locked. But I guess it'll put our Gazebo to use since no one really goes out there and it has a huge table o.O

Ah well , Better get back to Special Relativity.... Name sounds really cool , Time Dilatation and stuff... almost could pass for time travel xD . But its just another term used to explain why an object moving with respect to you , the clock on the object would actually appear to tick slower than a clock next to the person observing .... Its pretty hard concept to get ... But Special Relativity is really exciting! It basically explains how the intelligence of man evolved. Without the understanding of Relativity we'd still be in the stone age , the world be no where :] . Ha.. when I find myself why am I doing Physics degree ... Just have to keep telling myself the human race wouldn't be here without it and wouldn't continue to evolve. Ha thats where my 2nd Degree comes in o_0 Climatology! Solving the pesky problem of the crisis the world would be In within the next 50 years to come. I love how my two Majors join together in someway ^_^

Time Travel.. Er? My Idea :)

Question for though: So they are 4 Dimensions X axis , Y axis , Z axis ( which is a 3- Dimensional ) and T , which is time. What about the 5th Dimension? The reality of Time travel would become a reality. The discovery of the 5th dimension would be one of the largest break troughs ever! But now , that would require the ability to move at speeds much greater than the speed of light which still isnt possible. Theoretically , if an object moves at the speed in an vacuum , well lets say space, Its possible to move from one "complete Dimension" to another "Reality " .

It does make sense to me somewhat , if you look at another concept of special relativity called length contraction where an object which moves at a speed of light , the length appears to be smaller than what it would be at rest. Which is easy to see if it was a ruler thrown etc , But what if it was a particle moving so fast , Lets say the limit as it tends to infinity , Ideal , the particle should contact so small at that speed where it should be able to tear into another dimension... or just wipe off mankind off the earth. Hence some degree of time travel which is basically moving from a complete dimension to another which is basically what Special Relativity is somewhat about.
Its just hard to figure out since when objects begin to move at those kind of speeds the laws of physics we know such as newton laws just FAIL! . Classical physics only goes so far ... thats where Quantum Physics take over ... Woo , thats next years course lol.

Scary thing was , I typed all that just from free witting from just my little knowledge of Special relativity and how I think time travel would became a reality. Just Wikipedia Time travel and they account for many of the things I just said. Such as Time dilation and Spec. Relativity....

The Twin Paradox is one of the most interesting consequence of Special Relativity and Time dilation. and Its one of the easiest examples to understand the reality of time travel to a basic extent.

Its said , two twins 20 years old , um Mary and Jill , and Jill is the more adventurist one. So she decides to travel to a star 30 light years away and her ship is able to accelerate to a speed close to the speed of light. After she reaches the star , she becomes home sick and decides to return home traveling at the same speed. Upon return , she finds everything changed, old cities have expanded and new cities have appeared. Her twin sister Mary is now 80 years old while Jill only aged 10 years. This is because her bodily processes had slowed down during the travel in space at that speed.

They are planning to re act the theory of the big bang... God knows why they are carrying out the experiment on earth.... Dude.. that would mess up the earth if a mistake ... now sure why the Untied nations allowed for such an experiment to take place. Guess the question , why are we here or how did we get here for some is getting old of waiting.

Anyway , Basically the ATLAS experiment is a replay of the big bang , everyone should know of it. They plan to accelerate a Proton or Electrons ... Think its an electron , but They plan to accelerate it at a dangerous speed in a circular orbit over the next 20 years or something. Then have a 2nd electron match its speed and have it orbit the other direction and have them collide..

BOOM!

sounds dangerous , but Obviously I don't think the experiment would be that much forward, maybe smaller test before the big one which would prob be years years later. But thats the theory.

Ohhh man what a day! Only had 5 hours of sleep since i was two exams one after the other , and a last min call from the driving school the night before that my drivers test got scheduled right after the 2nd test! So thats basically 3 test one after the other x].

Got to the License authority around 12:45 and Got everything sorted out. The neat thing was , I have "connections " with the head Licensees Chief so bye bye to the long line and straight to the front ^_^ Everything was super fast!

The exam was pretty much boring , didn't feel as nervous as I did last time, but didn't know the test goes on for like an hr o_0 Went into the "country" then into town , this dude took me everywhere lol. Oh I just ownt at Reversing (h) :) . After the test instructor smiled at me ^_^ and said you passed :D !

Going to get the picture taken for the license , kept peeping around and noticed everyone had some sort of identification >.< Forgetful me didn't bring mine :( But I did meet a really neat girl HA! go me lol . She looked awful familiar though ... after few 10mins of chit chat I just realized that maybe I should go ask the lady at the desk if I would need to show my passport etc. I didn't really see the point since I had my permit , my just printed drivers licenses saying I "JUST" passed , but everything is protocol I guess. So did the nice thing and gave her my ticket number since she was 12 people behind and I was up next ^_^ . She asked my name but not sure why I didn't ask for something else for future talk :( Oh wells Barbados is small , most likely we'll meet up again !

Ah off to Sheraton ! While sis used the gym upstairs ... just did some random walking and got something to bite , bumped into a few random people and had a interesting conversation about Meteorology and Cell phones with an Old fencing pal lol. Day was long as hell ! But everything came out peachy ^_^

Got to drive home! but im getting the feeling the Family is going to be using me to run their errands now -_-"

AWAGH! That oral was so much crap ! So long , went up to 1hr and 20mins! Where they so interested in my presentation that they had to ask all that? o.O . Think it came out okay , but so many things I blanked out on, Even the simple question .. " What is diffraction? " Argh , I knew what it was but I thought they would want the explanation of it referring to the Experiment I did ( Electron Diffraction Tube ). The lame thing was, the 3 examiners were people i knew since i was 4 years old o.O ... I swear one of them use to baby sit me. So always felt .. my god Hope I don't shame my father now.
*Sigh* The funny thing was, I went in there so confident! The 1st question I just grabbed the marker and told them ,Well let me draw it and explain XD ... 1hr later im there trying to Hide from the Marker lol : ( !

Ah wells , It was worth 20% of the Final mark , But Im always get like 92/100 In the Actually rescearch which is the other 80% so I think i'll be okay, Trying really hard to get my GPA to 3.5+ Since rarely / well not many people Graduate with 1st class honors in two Major Applied Sciences.

Started To look at some Universities away since Im going to be on my FINAL next year WEWTNES!?

Theres a really neat University with an amazing Meteorology programm , just the problem its on the other side of the world... Japan xD + Language barrier would be a problem . Or just might find something closer , like Canada maybe? mmm , Have a butt load of friends there too !
I'll figure out all that later this vacation hopefully , But I would love to work 1 year Before I head away, Maybe if possible , teach Physics back at my old school. Not sure though ,

Whoa , Lucky I wasn't Born 3-4 Generations Ago

Ever seen that movie " Bend it like Beckham?" Its an pretty old movie . It is centered around an Indian girl living in England where she found a passion for Football , but her parents ignored it and forced her to live the track that was already planned by them. Like all happy ending movies , ended with her getting to what she wants and hey , She did. Was a neat Movie ^_^

It just had me thinking how it would of been like if i was born 3-4 generations back lol. Would of sucked for my parents to find a wife for me... NO THNX! But at the same time I guess it was all part of the Indian culture which is really beautiful! Just somethings I didn't like, Like the finding wife part lol. My parents had a very neat wedding when I saw the pictures , which i also think is very beautiful , one is Christian and the other is Hindu. They had a wedding for each side of the Family, And the Hindu wedding was so interesting compared to the traditional wedding most of us would know of.

It be nice to trace back to where my real roots came from , My mom been doing it during her free time at work and so far , We know its somewhere in Northern India which is awesome! because its one of the most amazing mountain ranges and Culture diversity in the world! But one problem is that not all of my family are from Indian apparently , My dads great Grandfather was Chinese..... say What?! Okay I guess .. since India and China boarders are very close, Just separated by the Himalaya Mountain Range *Sips coffee* So yeah , Guess we'll work on completing the Family tree another time.

Erm , well the day was pretty neat, found out I got an A+ on a test which is pretty sweet , and completely destroyed a test I had today ! Wanted to leave 20mins early but thought it look bad.
Just one thing im having lots of worries about, That darn oral presentation on Weds! Two of my friends had theirs today, and Its being judged by 3 of the top Physics Minds in Barbados o_0 . They pointed out their questions were completely ridiculous and had nothing to do with the research we've been conducting since the start of the semester ... but thats Uwi for ya! Oh well , Least i have the idea of the type of questions they'll ask , Hmm wonder if dressing nice on Weds might help? *Thinks*

About that dream in my last post, Out of curiosity I visited the library and went to the spot where some things occurred, and the Table and chairs where exactly the same as in the dream! Same type , color .. everything. The last time i've been to that location was when I was in Prelim year! Thats almost 3 years ago ... Interesting o.O

Rock Band And Studying Don't Go Hand in Hand

AH I feel so guilty! Spent the entire day by a friends house and wanted to get a little work done on the side while i was there, But it is really difficult when they are two Xbox 360's , a large TV staring you in the face o_0 . So yeah.. Studying did not happen on my part . Apart from that the day did turn out pretty neat and far from productive , didn't expect to spend the entire day! ARGH! Exam on Monday ! shouldn't be too hard since I know those chapters like the back of my hand ^_^ .

AC <.< Parents decided to install an Air Condition unit into my room! And its completely out of line! My gosh xD , My bed is slightly to the right and my ceiling fan is slightly to the left. Guess their trying to make me comfortable while i study , but wish they ask me before they do things like this.

Is it possible to have "Girl problems" without being in a relationship? <. < Had a interesting phone call last night when I got home... I've already established to myself my views on relationships right now but sometimes I keep finding myself having a liking this for person! She is like the complete girl version as me x] But, Hate that thing when you say something , then life throws you an opportunity that just tests how strong your will is, as to keeping to your word. Not to mention I hate turning people down. Has to be the lamest thing one could do

Also had a VERY interesting dream last night.... Which is rare , don't usually have dreams that i would remember, and it felt so real! Everything took place in areas im so familiar with. Apparently in my dream , I was ALREADY in a relationship with this girl, and it seems like it was any other day, we'd meet outside the Library , Study , Eat , Relax , just do everything together and the weird part is , I have a very clear memory of what she looks like! She seemed like everything I'd would love in a Girl Friend.

Question im asking now, is why am I having so many things occurring in my life that's hinting at relationships?

Crunch Time!

For most times of the day, i've found myself thinking about this blog. What will it be about really? Will I be able to keep it up? I'm really fond of the idea so hope that is enough to keep it going! And I am having a little bit of fun , Its a nice little vent during study breaks ^_^.

People are apparently surprised that i have a poetic side, well I've never been the greatest at expression myself and writing. But people never got that I'm a pretty much all round person. Try everything and eliminate the things I'm not good at. That is pretty much my view on life actually, you have one life, so much to do. So why not try most things? because later on it sucks to say I wish i tried that when I was younger o_0.

STUDY! 4 exams next week + 1 ONE hour presentation on our Physics research labs we been doing this semester. Actually I do have a rant , and its about how backward UWI Cavehill is compared to other Campus around the world. Since last semester we've had this lecturer , that just cannon teach , my god he got fired from his job teaching at a secondary school yet he was hired at a UNIVERSITY LEVEL LECTURER! Uwi just about hires anyone , not to mention 90% of the Science/Math lecturers are Professors from away. No problem with that , but at least have some caution about their knowledge of english. Anyway, this dude wants us to complete 5 Labs which takes 3 weeks each of actually doing in what, 1 week of school left? Yeah okay , Its actually suspose to be 4 labs a semester but , apparently he thought he kick it up to 5 to see how it works out. PSH.

Appart from that , The day was pretty neat , spent the evening by a Friends house along with two others, but we just ended up watching youtube videos and Charlie the Unicorn x] Omg ... Good stuff , Good evening :] + His mom is a killer cook :D !

So Blogs! If only you knew how long i procrastinated to start one of these things until I finally decided to make it a reality. Hopefully as the days and months go by I will constantly keep this updated and hopefully work on improving my witting ability.

So By all means A little introduction on myself should start things nicely. I'm was born in the beautiful sunny sate of Florida but just before making 1 year into my life, We moved to a tiny island of Barbados where I spent the next set of years of my life. I have a unbelievable "nag" for Music! Since school i've always been behind learning as many as I could and eventually became the band leader of one top school bands in Barbados. But aside from music , I also grew up in a strict Medicine/Science Family but eager to change that , I manage to find myself persueing a career in Meteorology. Well that sounds like the basics!

Lets Start This Blog!

Studying studying studying , Maybe this was a bad time to start this since that's all thats been happening lately. Spending 6hrs in Lab isn't that great , But I guess that's what i get for choosing such a demanding degree o_0 . Ohh well , one thing pretty different did happen today! Some students from St. Michael School came to visit and get a little tour about how Uwi Cavehill works. I tried to save them but in the process I got dragged into being the tour Guide for the group that wanted to do the Sciences >.> It was fun , Got to show them around the Physics , Chemistry and Biology Labs and where the new Medicine have their labs. They did seem to be enjoying it , except for this one very blunt girl who kept asking about Marine Biology , apparently she couldn't comprehend that Biology isn't my major but i did a course on Oceanography few years back. Got to scare them a little when we passed the Biology department since one of the labs some fungus escaped and the room had to be quarantine :) . Apart from that , I stumbled across a section of UWI that I've never been into! Apparently Marine Biology has their own little Facility! not to mention an amazing view! and if that isn't much , They have their own study room with a fridge , Was pretty neat.

Pretty much after that our Faculty was hosting a lunch for the Campus so stopped by and showed my support, Go Pure and Applied Sciences! :D . Sadly after lunch it went right back to Study Study Study right to 8Pm! Im constantly finding myself coming to school at 8am and leaving sometimes at 9 or 10pm! Days fly so fast when your studying! Cant wait till X-mas Vacation! *weeh* Food :D Friends , Presents ( ELECTRIC GUITAR ! ) , Hopefully attempt to start a band ^_^ haha , Just need to find a drummer , Already have a yes for Guitar , Bass Guitar and Acoustic Guitar :D ...Hmm Maybe should ask my friends from the Police Band o_0.
